Though a little dented and worn, these biscuit tins deserve a place in our expo, according to Carina Van Lersberghe.

“These are my late mother’s old biscuit tins, found while clearing out the family home. I suspect they’re about sixty years old. My mother used them every day to treat the children and later the grandchildren to an afternoon biscuit. They were so well-loved that every grandchild—and even the first great-grandchild, as soon as they could walk—knew exactly how to fetch them from the cupboard. To me, they hold the warmth of old-fashioned comfort and cosiness.”
